It is great to announce that Dr Romy Greiner has accepted a position as the manager of our Townsville office. Romy specialises in using socio-economic research in informing natural resource policy and strategies. She is passionate about northern Australia.

Romy has spent much of the past five years as the Professor of Tropical Livelihoods at Charles Darwin University. Prior to that Romy worked at CSIRO, ABARE and ran her own consultancy called river consulting.

Romy will greatly increase our technical capability in the social and economic aspects of waterway and catchment management. Starting in late July, it will be fantastic to have Romy join the Alluvium team.
