Andrew joined Alluvium in May 2023 and brings a diverse background, with extensive project management, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement experience. Andrew has two years of marine conservation project management with The Nature Conservancy and, prior to that, senior leadership roles in the planning and delivery of multiple major international sporting and diplomatic events in the workforce and transport fields. Andrew has worked in the corporate, not-for-profit and government sectors.
Andrew’s Masters research paper looked at motivations and potential incentive mechanisms for landholders to change their land use from farming to a Nature-based Solution for flood mitigation. Andrew is particularly interested in nature-based solutions, biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, coastal adaptation to climate change, disaster risk reduction, human-wildlife co-existence and waste reduction/circular economy initiatives.
