Iris joined the Alluvium family in 2023 and is currently in her final semester of a Master of Environment, with a subspecialisation in climate change, at the University of Melbourne. She has studied policy and governance across multiple scales and domains, from community-level bushfire adaptation to international climate finance. The interdisciplinary nature of her degree has allowed her to be exposed to thinking from various disciplines, including planning, geography, and law. She believes strongly in taking a whole-of-system, values-based approach to environmental issues, and is enjoying applying this to a range of areas of her work.

Prior to pivoting into the environment sphere with Alluvium, Iris worked in public healthcare as a hospital pharmacist within metropolitan Melbourne, in addition to spending time as a Public Health Officer with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services during the Covid-19 pandemic. She holds two bachelors in Pharmacy and Science, which have granted her a solid scientific grounding that she draws upon in her work.
