Katherin is a Water Engineer with over 6 years of experience in civil engineering. In the early stages of her career, Katherin gained experience in civil infrastructure design. This covered a broad range of design and planning elements including general concept and detailed civil site design, erosion and sediment control planning, earthworks design, and utility analysis. As part of this role, Katherin performed construction support for civil site works and undertook hydraulic modelling to support a range of rail and road design projects. Her knowledge of modelling software including 12d Model, AutoCAD and DRAINS have added significant value to the delivery of these projects, and her ability to produce innovative solutions as part of the design process.
In recent years, Katherin has taken up a role within the water resources field. Through this she has expanded her knowledge in scour protection and bank stabilisation, stormwater network concept and detailed design, water sensitive urban design and gained a greater appreciation of various methods of hydrological and 1D and 2D hydraulic analysis. She has been able to transfer generalist civil engineering skills to a more focussed water resources discipline.
