Seamus joined the NCEconomics team in 2024 after finishing his Honours in Economics from Monash University (2023) following his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne (2019–2022), majoring in Economics. His thesis examined the long-term labour market effects of graduating high school during the 1997 Asian financial crisis in Indonesia.

Despite being early in his career, Seamus has already had exposure and experience with very technical approaches to economic analysis. This includes his experience as a research assistant at the University of Western Australia where he worked on a project that provided policy suggestions and insights for food price inflation in Indonesia. This involved statistical and econometrical analysis namely demand system estimation and welfare analysis.

Seamus enjoys applying economic concepts such as non-market valuation and econometrics to contribute towards projects that assist decision-making by private and public sectors. He is also eager to further enhance and employ his CBA skills across a wide range of projects.
