Shaw Abrey is a chartered professional civil and environmental engineer and ecologist. He has over 7 years of industry experience, fostering a passion for creating innovative solutions from Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and bio-sensitive urban design (BSUD) first principles. Shaw bridges the gap between engineering and ecology, seamlessly integrating natural processes and infrastructure to ensure effective water resource management. He has had experience on a range of projects from small to large scale, and from high level through to detailed design. Shaw’s design philosophy aims to blur the lines between engineering and landscape design, to ensure effective water management is integrated seamlessly into the environment. He has also had experience doing condition audits of natural capital, and strategic planning.

Shaw is experienced in planning and conducting domestic and international fieldwork, as well as assessing aquatic ecological health, WSUD asset condition, water quality, and natural capital health.
