While the Great Barrier Reef Regional Report Cards (regional report cards) focus on the biophysical components of the system, there is a growing interest in assessing and monitoring the human dimensions (HD) of ecosystem and catchment health to provide a greater understanding of the relationship between social and ecological systems.

Alluvium was engaged by the Office of the Great Barrier Reef to deliver a series of workshops to assist with the implementation of Human Dimension Indicators for the Regional Report Cards.

The workshops brought together a selected group of human dimension and report card experts with the Regional Report Card Partnerships to refine and prioritising a set of indicators that can inform ongoing governance and management of regional waterways.
