Chaitanya is an accomplished professional with 20+ years of expertise in biodiversity, nature conservation and environmental sustainability. His experience with the private sector at the biodiversity/nature interface cuts across several sectors including renewable energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure in the following geographies – South Asia, South-East Asia and Eastern Europe. In this capacity, he has enabled clients to understand, avoid, reduce, mitigate and manage biodiversity risks. He has also implemented biodiversity safeguards and habitat restoration initiatives.
Chaitanya has received the Kinship Conservation Fellowship (2020), Wipro Sustainability Seeding Fellowship (2017), Fulbright Fellowship (2012) and Levi’s® Change Your World Fellowship (2011).
