Helen is an environmental engineer who is passionate about bringing people together to solve the complex problems facing our community and environment. Over the past 15 years, Helen has developed multi-stakeholder strategies and implementation plans for water authorities and catchment management authorities, using her analytical skills to turn visions into actions.

In 2021, Helen led the co-development of the 2021 Flood Management Strategy for the Port Phillip Bay and Westernport. In this role she engaged with the 49 organisations in the region with flood management responsibilities to identify actions to improve the flood resilience of the region, with a particular focus on building on existing approaches to create a more holistic approach managing current and future flood risk.

Helen also has extensive experience working in water resource management and environmental flows. Helen was a Senior Environmental Flow Planner with Melbourne Water working with a range of government and community groups to managing environmental water in both regulated and unregulated catchments. Helen has also completed water supply assessment and strategies to guide water supply planning for towns in regional Victoria.
