Lee Davis is a Principal Economist who brings 25 years’ of experience in economic analysis, pragmatic policy advice, program evaluation, governance, capacity building and training. Prior to joining Natural Capital Economics, Lee worked for over 20 years as an economic consultant with the Centre for International Economics before taking on a role leading a policy team within the Victorian Government. Lee began his economics career at the Productivity Commission.
Lee’s technical expertise spans economic modelling, cost-benefit analysis, regulatory review, survey design and stakeholder consultation. His experience covers many sectors of the economy, and he has also undertaken consultancies for various international governments and organisations (such as the World Bank Group) across Oceania, South-East and North Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa.
Lee is captivated by the challenges of managing economic impacts arising from the greening of international trade, and helping communities and economies better and more equitably accommodate the transition to a decarbonised economy.
