Manikandan is a modern-day hydrologist focused mainly on hydrological and hydraulic modeling software’s (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM,SWAT, NAM model, MIKE 11, MIKE 21,MIKE URBAN, MIKEFLOOD, MIKE HYDRO RIVER).

Prior to joining Alluvium, he holds master’s degree in hydrology and Water resources engineering in Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India with civil engineering background. In this period, design of storm water drains for an institutional campus (CLRI-India) was carried out and able to provide the most economical and feasible solution for essential circumstances. Also have hands-on working experience in working with IMD rainfall data (Doppler weather gridded data) using HEC-GridUtil.

Manikandan also has more than half a decade experience in urban flood modeling with international clients like kfW funded projects. Also has abundant knowledge in designing storm water drains of complex networks. He is an enthusiastic learner who has insights into how development can be made to make use of natural resources sustainably in an engineered perspective.

He enjoys nature with an insight considering future generation that led him to a wide angle theorist in the water sector. This has made him to become a member in Alluvium.
