The Latrobe University Eco‐Corridor Neighbourhood Project (Nangak Tamboree) is a multi-stakeholder strategy to improve the ecological, cultural, education and amenity values of waterways in and around their Bundoora campus.

Alluvium and REALMstudios were appointed to deliver feasibility, concept, functional and detailed designs for this suite of projects, which will be staged over the course of the next year. The projects will have a significant stakeholder engagement and collaboration component.

The project encompasses a suite of water sensitive urban design, flood mitigation and landscaping projects that are designed to improve the ecological, cultural, education and amenity values of within and around the Bundoora campus. The project’s primary objectives were to build partnerships, increase sustainability and biodiversity, create new pathways, improve resilience, educate the community and respect cultural heritage.

The project links with the University’s long-term Masterplan and its vision is to create an inviting, open and culturally aware space that protects biodiversity and connects communities.
